Cordish Boosts Executive-Level Team via New Appointments

The company revealed it promoted Joe Billhimer to the position of chief operating and development officer. Before being promoted to the new position, he served as executive vice president/PA Casino for Cordish Gaming since 2020.

What’s more, Billhimer served as the general manager of Live! Casino and Hotel Philadelphia, a position which will now be in the hands of Craig Clark who will serve as executive vice president and general manager. On the other hand, Ryan Eller was appointed as the company’s executive vice president and general manager for its flagship venue Live! Casino and Hotel Maryland.

The Cordish Companies explained that all of the appointments are with immediate effect. Still, the company pointed out that regulatory approval is pending.

Rob Norton, Cordish Gaming Group’s president, explained that the appointments come ahead of significant growth planned by the company for the upcoming years. At the same time, he pointed out that by strengthening its executive-level team, the company seeks to improve its operational results and continue to grow further within new markets. “Joe, Craig and Ryan are well suited to maintain the same level of excellence and customer service our guests have come to expect at Live! Casinos and Hotels,” said Norton in conclusion.

With his 35 years of experience within the industry, Billhimer will undoubtedly play a key role in the company’s future growth.

Similarly, Clark brings a wealth of experience after holding different leadership positions within the growing gaming industry in the last three decades. Last but not least Eller also has a solid hospitality and gaming industry background. As an industry veteran, he has accumulated 20 years of experience within the industry and was a part of major companies and organizations. Eller is a proven leader and has helped multiple companies overcome different challenges throughout his professional career.
