Manchester United Need to Forget About 7-0 Loss ASAP
Last Sunday, Manchester United suffered the joint-biggest defeat in the club’s history. Liverpool beat them 7-0 at Anfield. Although no one expected the Red Devils will get thrashed, we did predict they were going to lose, the No. 1 reason being that it was an away game for Man United.
These guys just aren’t as impressive on the road as they are at Old Trafford, which is where they welcome Real Betis on Thursday. On their turf, they’re without a single loss in all competitions since September 8, 2022.
Further, they’re 4-0-0 in their last four home games, beating Leicester City (Premier League), Barcelona (Europa League), Newcastle (Carabao Cup), and West Ham (FA Cup).
Real Betis Wanna Kick Man United While They’re Down
Real Betis are in fine form right now, with a 3-1-0 record in the last 30 days. The draw in question happened to the mighty Real Madrid. It happened last Sunday when we saw the two play 0-0.
The boys from Seville managed to hold Los Blancos to a draw, even though they had 15 goal attempts that day. Can they do the same on Thursday against Manchester United?
They will certainly try. Getting a good result in England would give Real Betis a very good chance to advance to the next stage of the Europa League as the second leg of the Round of 16 doubleheader is played in Spain.
But what does “good result” mean in this case? Well, anything but a heavy loss would be great for Real Betis.
Manchester United vs Real Betis Prediction
The Red Devils are great at home, so anything but a win for the English side would be a major surprise. But will it be a big win? Probably not as the Red Devils will want to improve their defense. Plus, Real Betis will probably spend the whole game protecting their net.
