Altenar Selects Charlie Williams for Commercial Director

The fast-growing global provider of software for the iGaming and sports betting industry, Altenar, announced a senior-level appointment. On Monday, the company unveiled it hired Charlie Williams, an industry expert with significant experience, to the role of commercial director.

Joining Altenar’s C-suite, he will oversee its commercial strategy. As a commercial director, Williams will be in charge of strategic partnerships, marketing and sales tactics, as well as management. Ultimately, his efforts will seek to expand the sportsbook provider on a global scale, allowing the company to engage with new partners around the globe.

Additionally, he will oversee Altenar’s commercial activities. This will include analyzing potential options for the growth of market share and revenue with an ultimate goal of sustainable expansion.

Currently, Altenar holds licenses for 13 strategic global markets. The company has certification from the MGA, as well as the UKGC and is famous as a leading provider of sportsbook technology for major companies within the gambling vertical. In the last year, multiple awards recognized Altenar for its leadership within the sector, including SBC Latin America, and the Baltic and Scandinavian Gaming Awards.

To his new role, Williams brings extensive experience within the gambling vertical. Previously, he held different senior-level roles with leading business-to-business online gambling suppliers. Moreover, Williams has accumulated wide knowledge in advisory, after founding a successful consultancy business.

Williams was excited to become a part of Altenar’s C-suite. Focusing on the future, he said that he is looking forward to the success the collaboration will bring. “We will maintain our global focus with continued efforts in fortifying our strong performance in Europe and LatAm, while also increasing penetration in the UK, Nordics, and North American regions,” added Williams.

He spoke about Altenar’s focus on regulated markets but at the same time pointed out that the company will explore options to enter newly-regulated jurisdictions. Finally, Williams acknowledged the potential the African market holds.
